30 Hours Free Childcare

GOVERNMENT FUNDED CHILDCARE

All children are eligible for government funded childcare from the term after they turn 3 years old. Children are eligible for either 15 hours per week or 30 hours per week of childcare dependant on household circumstances as detailed below.

Eligibility for 30 hours per week :

From September 2017, 3 and 4 year old children of working parents will be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare per week, term time (38 weeks per year). To be eligible for the 30 hours of free childcare :

2 parent household : both parents must be earning a minimum of £120 per week (equivalent to 16 hours per week at National Living Wage) up to a maximum single income of £100,000 per annum.

Single parent household : the parent must be earning a minimum of £120 per week (equivalent to 16 hours per week at National Living Wage) up to a maximum single income of £100,000 per annum.

If you are eligible you will receive a reference number which should be provided to Lanterns the term before your child is due to start.

If you do not meet the above mentioned criteria you are eligible for 15 hours per week.
